FC Porto 1983-84 Away Retro Football Shirt

A season of hights and lows for the Portuguese giants. Domestically the Primeira Liga was lost to Benfica by a narrow 3 point margin despite the ever- reliable scoring contribution of joint League top scorer Fernando Gomes. The prolific striker also netted in the Taca de Portugal Final as Porto overcome Rio Ave by a comfortable 4-1 margin, but main Cup competition excitement arrived in the shape  of a European Winners' Cup as FC Porto reached a first-ever European Final.

 That final against Juventus was lost unfortunately, a disappointing end to an emmotional season  that saw legendary coach and former player José Maria Pedroto step down mid campaign with an unexpected illness that would tragically claim his life soon after.
