The 1974-75 season was one of change for Panathinaikos as the widly popular and successful Ferenc Puskás stood down as coach. He was replaced by the Yugoslav Stjepan Bobek, returning to the club after success there in the 1960s.
It was not a memorable campaign with a fifth placed League finish and cup final defeat to bitter rivals, Olympiacos, but legendary striker Antonis Antoniadis finished League top scorer with 20 goals- the fifth time he had won that award in six seasons.
Antoniadis was one of a trio of club legends alongside Mimis Domazos and Kostas Eleftherakis starring for Panathinaikos in this era.
