With a succesful championship winning season in what was the last-ever Division Two campaign, Ipswich Town finished 4 pionts clear of Middlesbrough to top the 1991-92 table and earn a place in the inaugual Premier League the following season. 

The 19 league goals scored by Chris Kiwomya were key toTown's succes, as was a form of Jason Dozell, Romeo Zondervan, the Canadian duo Frank Yallop  and Graig Forrest and the club legend  Scottish midfielder John Walk back for his third spell at Portman Road.
