Although the finl points total was high on a respectable 52 points, the 1993-94 campaign saw Fulham relegated from Division Two. A win on the final day would have seen the team safe, but a 2-1 defeat at Swansea City meant Fulham finished a point below 20th placed Blackpool who stayed in Division Two. It was at this game; the loyal Fulham fans were prevented from storming the pitch to commiserate with the players on the relegation.
There was a changing of the guard that season, too, with Sean Farell and Jeff Eckhardt departing the Club, while the likes of Terry Angus and Robbie Herrera who would play key roles in SW6 a few years later made their debuts.
